Top 3 video games of all time
Below, take a look at our top 3 video games of all time!
1. Crash Bandicoot
Developed by Naughty Dog, the Crash Bandicoot franchise first emerged on PlayStation 1 back in 1996. The original platform game follows ‘Crash’ a bandicoot who jumps, spins and generally crashes his way through the tropical ‘Wumpa Islands’, as well as dodging rolling boulders, man-eating Venus flytraps and TNT boxes. The original game was followed by two more of the same type, plus numerous Crash-themed racing games. In 2017, Crash returned to our PlayStations and Xboxes as a remastered, three-in-one game entitled ‘N. Sane Trilogy’.
2. Tomb Raider
Another well-known franchise dating back to the 90s (and still around today), Tomb Raider follows the adventures of Lara Croft in her around-the-world pursuits of hidden treasures and mysterious artifacts. The first edition, Tomb Raider 1, was released in 1996, followed by Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III – which are still considered as the classic versions of this games. Since then, there have been numerous other releases, with the latest being ‘Rise of the Tomb Raider’ available to play on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows.
3. Grand Theft Auto
Created by c, the Grand Theft Auto is widely considered to be the most cutting-edge and innovative open-world series of games of all time. With strong themes of violence and crime, GTA is also one of the most controversial action-adventure games out there and in many countries, you have to be at least 18-years-old to buy it. The series started out as Grand Theft Auto (1 and II), but it wasn’t until the third edition in 2001 that the game really impressed with its three-dimensional world which allowed players to run, drive, swim and fly around freely. The next 12 years saw the release of five more versions, with the latest, Grand Theft Auto V, released in 2013.
Top 3 online casino games
Below, take a look at our top 3 online casino games. These can all be played as desktop versions or downloadable apps via smartphones and tablets, with many branded casinos hosting these games.
Even if you’ve never stepped foot inside a casino before, blackjack is quick and easy to pick up. Plus, most online casinos let you try this fun game out for free, meaning you can learn the processes before playing for real money. In blackjack, there’s only one aim: to beat the dealer each round. This is done by reaching a score closer to 21 than the dealer – or just avoiding going ‘bust’ (over 21) when the dealer goes bust. Whatever you bet each round is doubled (if you win), lost (if the dealer wins), or given back as 150% of your original bet (i.e. one and a half times) if you hit blackjack (21) with your first two cards which are dealt to you by the dealer.
Roulette, the oldest casino game in the world which originated in France, can now be played online in hundreds of different online casinos. Most versions follow either American or the original European roulette format (with 38 and 37 pockets respectively). Simply make your bet, put up the stake and wait until the ball stops spinning and falls into one of the wheel’s pockets/slots. If it lands in the slot you guessed, then you win the corresponding payout. Online roulette is fun, safe (as long as you’re responsible with your betting) and easy to play. Online slots follow the same concept of the manual slot machine games found in bars and pubs, which originated from basic ‘one-arm bandit’ slot machines from America (which can still be found in the casinos of Vegas). This type of online casino game nowadays takes on many different forms, from video slots with interactive graphics, to progressive jackpot games and other basic fruit symbol versions.
